What Documents Do You Need for a Vietnam Business Trip?
02-05-2025
Planning a business trip to Vietnam? Whether you're attending meetings, visiting partners, or exploring investment opportunities, having the right documents is essential for a smooth entry and stay. Here’s a complete list of what you’ll need.
1. A Valid Passport
Your passport must:
- Be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date
- Have at least 2 blank pages for stamps
Make sure your passport is undamaged and fully legible
2. A Vietnam Visa (E-Visa or Business Visa)
Most business travelers will need one of the following:
- E-Visa (for short stays up to 90 days)
- Business Visa (for longer stays or if you’re working directly with a local company)
If you’re unsure which visa fits your case, SupportEvisa.com can guide you through the process
3. A Digital Passport-Style Photo
You’ll need a recent, high-quality photo with a white background. Follow Vietnam’s photo size and format guidelines to avoid delays
4. A Scanned Copy of Your Passport Bio Page
Make sure the scan is clear, uncropped, and includes all important information. Blurry scans may result in visa rejection
5. Business-Related Documents (if required)
Depending on your visa type or the nature of your visit, you may need to present:
- An invitation letter from a Vietnamese company
- A letter from your employer stating the purpose of your visit
- Conference registration or meeting agenda
These are usually not required for E-Visa holders but may be requested at immigration for business visa holders
6. Printed E-Visa Approval (If Applicable)
If you’re using an E-Visa, it must be printed and presented when boarding and upon arrival in Vietnam. Digital versions on mobile devices are not accepted
7. Flight and Accommodation Details
While not always mandatory, having printed confirmation of your hotel booking and return ticket may help speed up immigration procedures
8. Business Cards or Company Information (Optional)
Bringing business cards or documentation that shows your professional role can be helpful during customs or business meetings
